So let's get started. If you are looking to refine your drawing skills in a competitive but helpful environment you have come to the right place

Here is how it will work I will post a theme for each week and during that week you have 7 days to complete the drawing theme and submit your final artwork. Then I will create a thread to vote on which one we think best represents the theme, not necessarily the best drawing.

Please submit your work and we will Comment and give Constructive Critisim to your work, when you feel confident please submit a final draft and give an idea for the next weeks theme, at the end of the week the theme with the most suggestions will win. Please submit them in the following manner:

I think next week should be cats with water guns.

I will keep track of each submission by username and week, the username will link to the submission. Here is an example:

Cool idea for a thread. How long did it take before you could draw on a tablet just as easy as paper? I don't have a tablet yet but I've messed around with one very briefly and it felt pretty awkward.

Thanks I think it will be a lot of fun And I still can't draw nearly as well on the tablet as I can on paper But it just takes practice, lots of it.

I used a mirror, a Wacom Intuos Drawing Tablet, and Adobe Photoshop. I hope that answered your question.

Forgot about the time frame for editing post... Quick self portrait i did a while back using a Mirror i would consider myself an armature im studying values atm as well as line and proportion.

Nice start, I would say you can def push that to its full potential, its a good start for blocking in the values. My rule of thumb is take something til you think you have taken it too far then back up rather than stop short. Its a great start though, nice proportions.
